Born on 11th January 1955 my photography journey began when I was 17. I had my own darkroom developing colour and black and white negatives and prints. 20,000 negatives later I purchased my first Digital Single Lens Reflex camera.
Although my photography was a hobby I attended many courses and belonged to local camera clubs. I now attend Meet Up groups in the London area, particularly Polly Rusyn’s Street Club and a group run by Gary Heiss. My influences are many, Ansel Adams for his techniques and landscapes, Bill Brandt for his wide subject matter, Richard Alvedon for his fashion and originality, Polly Rusyn for her love of photography and many more.
I decided four years ago to try and become a Professional Photographer. After a very bumpy ride I now have settled on Event Photography through Bidvine not forgetting my friends and family for the encouragement they have given me. I make no excuses for the many pictures of my daughters, Abigail and Molly, on my website. There are just over 100 images on my web site, I hope they all bring enjoyment to you. Thanks for looking, Simon.
